A great leadership opportunity exists for a motivated and aspiring Assistant Nurse Unit Manager to join a dedicated team on the Rehabilitation Ward at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. This is a part-time, permanent position working night duty, requiring flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting staff, maintaining high standards of patient care, and contributing to a positive team culture.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In the Assistant Nurse Unit Manager role, you will work closely with and support the Nurse Unit Manager in the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward. You will act as a key point of liaison between surgeons, patients, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and competence within an acute care environment, along with a genuine passion for patient-centred care. You will consistently deliver a high standard of customer-focused service aligned with the hospital's values and bring exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum three (3) years' nursing experience in an acute setting and/or rehabilitation setting;
- Clinical leadership experience or postgraduate speciality qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Current or previous experience working in a rehabilitation unit desired;
- Demonstrated personal commitment to ongoing professional development.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $55.92 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualifications.
