Excellent leadership opportunities exist for an experienced Mental Health Nurse with a proven ability to provide high-quality nursing leadership and clinical expertise to take on the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager at a private mental health clinic in Melbourne.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is directly responsible for providing leadership, strategic, and operational direction. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop managerial and leadership skills of the highest standard, participate in the recruitment, budget, and operational requirements of the unit, and, as part of the leadership group, participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives that ensure the Hospital's policies, procedures, and key performance indicators are maintained.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring provision of nursing care is evidence-based and consistent with optimal client outcomes;
  • Ensuring appropriate allocations of human resources occur across all arms of the unit/program;
  • Ensuring measures to maintain staff, visitors, and patient safety are implemented and maintained.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with the AHPRA;
  • At least 3 years' experience in mental health nursing care.
