Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Oncology/Medical Ward | Melbourne

• Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
• Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
• Providing clinical and operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
• Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources;
• Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
• Undertaking direct patient care as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• Working with Children Check;
• 3-5 years acute medical/surgical experience;
• Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
• Degree in relevant specialty area;
• Sound clinical knowledge;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards; 
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills; 
• Work of a rotating roster and all shift types;
• Positive role modelling behaviours;
• Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation; 
• Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
• High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases.
