A fantastic chance has arisen for a highly experienced Registered Nurse to step into a leadership role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager and work across the Oncology/Medical Ward at a private hospital in Melbourne on a full-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
- Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
- Providing clinical and operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
- Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources;
- Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
- Undertaking direct patient care as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Children Check;
- 3-5 years acute medical/surgical experience;
- Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
- Degree in relevant specialty area;
- Sound clinical knowledge;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
- Work of a rotating roster and all shift types;
- Positive role modelling behaviours;
- Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation;
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases.

RENUMERATION
Salaries range between $54.12 and $55.94 per hour.
