Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Orthopaedic/Neurosurgery | Melbourne

• Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
• Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
• Providing clinical and operational direction for the unit, ensuring efficient and effective management through coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care;
• Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources;
• Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
• Undertaking direct patient care, as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Working with Children Check;
• 3+ years orthopaedic, neurology or surgical experience;
• Must be able to work rotational nights;
• Current or previous ANUM, shift manager or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
• Sound clinical knowledge;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
• Positive role modelling behaviours;
• Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation;
• Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
• High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases.
