An outstanding prospect is available for a proactive and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator with a passion for working with learners to join an established Perioperative Team at a private hospital in Darwin. This is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing hands-on clinical education, support, and facilitation to graduate nursing students;
- Acting as a clinical leader and mentor, fostering professional development and continuous learning within the nursing team;
- Promoting and championing evidence-based nursing practice to ensure high-quality patient care outcomes;
- Supporting the implementation and dissemination of current best-practice knowledge and clinical standards;
- Monitoring and driving staff compliance with mandatory annual training requirements and e-learning modules;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing clinical education initiatives;
- Participating in policy and procedure meetings, contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement activities;
- Attending and actively contributing to ward meetings and bi-monthly education meetings;
- Supporting a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement across the clinical environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration;
- Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area;
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) (or working towards);
- Educator experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms;
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

REMUNERATION
A salary of $64.27 per hour.

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
