An outstanding prospect is available for an enthusiastic and proactive Clinical Nurse Education to become part of the Perioperative Unit at a private hospital in Darwin. It is a full-time position. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience in Perioperative Nursing;
- Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area (or working towards);
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) (or working towards);
- Educator experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms;
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
