An enthusiastic Hospital Coordinator with previous experience is poised to step into this vital leadership position and become an integral part of the healthcare team at a private hospital in Melbourne. This opportunity is available as either a permanent full-time or part-time role, with the necessity of being able to work a 24-hour rotating roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working collaboratively with the Director of Nursing, and Nurse Unit Managers, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective after-hours management of human, financial, and material resources.

As the Hospital Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
  • Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments;
  • Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost-efficient;
  • Coordinating patient admissions;
  • Overseeing the safety of all patients and hospital staff.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Recent management experience at ANUM level or higher;
  • Tertiary Qualification in a health-related discipline or management (desired);
  • Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements (desired);
  • Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff;
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members;
  • Superior time management and organisational skills.
