An enthusiastic Hospital Coordinator with previous experience is poised to step into this vital leadership position and become an integral part of the healthcare team at a private hospital in Melbourne. This opportunity is available as either a permanent full-time or part-time role, with the necessity of being able to work a 24-hour rotating roster.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working collaboratively with the Director of Nursing, and Nurse Unit Managers, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective after-hours management of human, financial, and material resources.
As the Hospital Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
- Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments;
- Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost-efficient;
- Coordinating patient admissions;
- Overseeing the safety of all patients and hospital staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Recent management experience at ANUM level or higher;
- Tertiary Qualification in a health-related discipline or management (desired);
- Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements (desired);
- Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff;
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members;
- Superior time management and organisational skills.
