A unique opportunity is available for a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse who has had previous management experience and is ready to undertake a key leadership role of a Hospital Coordinator at a private hospital in Sydney on a part-time basis.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Hospital Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
- Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and departments;
- Assisting with the coordination of staffing;
- Managing patient flow and coordinating and planning operational processes;
- Coordinating patient admissions and providing discharge planning support;
- Supporting the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and the achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards;
- Maintaining the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 5 years working as a Registered Nurse;
- Ability to manage competing demands and coordinate resources appropriately;
- Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
- Demonstrate effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow (desirable);
- Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff;
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members.

REMUNERATION
$68.87 - $72.13 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern 109-bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography, and obstetrics. The hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre, and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit that includes intensive care.
