An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong focus on results to undertake the role of the Nurse Unit Manager of Acute Surgical Ward (Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical, General & Plastic Surgery) at a private hospital in Perth.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing unit operations, driving patient safety and care excellence;
  • Managing performance across key areas - patient safety, quality, financials, and operations;
  • Implementing safety frameworks and improving patient outcomes;
  • Providing leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registration with AHPRA;
  • Proven leadership experience in general surgery;
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving quality and performance outcomes;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to consult, guide and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve department objectives;
  • Tech Savy: High computer literacy, especially in MS Office.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Perth, is a 224-bed private facility that provides Acute Surgical, Medical and Rehabilitation, and Coronary and Intensive Care Services. The Operating Theatre department consists of 10 theatres (including a Hybrid) covering a range of specialities, including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, general, vascular, and plastic reconstructive surgery.
