An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a key leadership role within the Lower Limb Orthopaedics Ward at a private hospital in Melbourne. This is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be working closely with the clinical team to ensure the provision of high-standard patient care and efficient management of staff and resources. This will be with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practice. Reporting into the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you will be mentoring and leading a well-established team of nurses and clinical support staff, so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Being accountable for the clinical, operational and professional leadership of the unit;
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes;
- Planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of 5 years' recent acute nursing and recent orthopaedic experience;
- Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager (highly desirable);
- Flexibility to work within a dynamic team across the organisation;
- Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources.
