Nurse Unit Manager – Orthopaedics | Melbourne

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Orthopaedic Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to join a private hospital in Melbourne on a full-time basis. Join a supportive team where you can lead with confidence and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

• Providing clinical leadership to the Ward to complement the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients;
• Providing clinical operational direction for the 30-bed unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care;
• Being accountable for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent;
• Proven experience leading a team;
• Working with Children check;
• Compliance with ACSQHC National standards;
• Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
• Proven time management and prioritisation skills;
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management;
• Demonstrated HR management experience;
• Computer literacy including MS Office and various databases.
