An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead a 10-bed Palliative Care Unit and 20-bed Rehabilitation Unit at a private hospital in Perth. This permanent full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing professional to step into a leadership position. While previous leadership or management experience is desirable, the role will also suit an experienced Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in their career.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Unit Manager will lead the establishment and ongoing management of this ward. Key achievements in this role will include building the ward with a high-performing team and delivering safe, consistent, patient-centred care. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with proven leadership skills to contribute to the delivery of outstanding patient outcomes, whilst positively impacting culture and growing their leadership abilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical, operational and professional leadership of the ward;
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes;
- Planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services in line with standards, legislative requirements and best practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Rehabilitation, Palliative or Geriatric setting;
- Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities;
- A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement;
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage challenging situations;
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment;
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.

REMUNERATION
$66.85 - $78.12 per hour + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in the northern suburbs of Perth, has 107 beds and provides a range of specialist services. These include a Day Surgery Unit, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation Unit, Sleep Lab, and services for Day Surgery and Endoscopy Patients, including Gastroenterology. The facility features four operating theatres and dedicated endoscopy procedure rooms.
