An exciting opportunity has become available for a Nurse Unit Manager Level 3 - Perioperative Services to join the leadership team at a private hospital in regional NSW. 
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a NUM, you will be taking on the management of the Operating Suite, with support from a passionate team of clinical perioperative staff, including a Theatre NUM level 1. You will be responsible for the clinical and strategic management of the Theatres, PACU and CSD, including 5 operating rooms, an Endoscopy and a Cath Lab.

You will also be responsible for support and leadership to clinical staff and VMOs and effective management of the operating schedule activity and utilisation, supplies and resources, workforce, and recruitment.
REQUIREMENTS
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Nurse in a perioperative team or unit;
  • Previous clinical leadership or management experience;
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program;
  • Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications will be highly regarded;
  • A capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals.

 

ABOUT THE FACILITY 
Hospital, located in Coffs Harbour, is an acute facility providing advanced surgery, interventional coronary angiography, including pacemakers and defibrillators, ICU, endovascular & general surgery, general medical, rehabilitation, palliative care and mental health. The theatre department comprises four state-of-the-art operating theatres that are ideal for both major and minor surgery. This includes a cath lab where interventional cardiology is performed, including diagnostic and interventional cardiology, pacemakers and other implantable devices. In addition, day admission facilities are available for patients requiring minor procedures, minimising time lost from work, home and leisure.
