An exciting full-time opportunity is available for a highly motivated and experienced clinician to join the management team at a private hospital in Brisbane. As Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide key leadership within the Rehabilitation team, supporting high-quality patient care and effective clinical and operational outcomes in a complex environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be taking on a key leadership role within our Rehabilitation team. You will be working closely with the clinical team to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources. This will be with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practice. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff, so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed.

- Being accountable for the clinical, operational and professional leadership of the unit;
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes;
- Planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services in line with standards, legislative requirements and best practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Minimum of 5 years' recent acute/rehabilitation nursing experience;
- Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager (highly desirable);
- Flexibility to work within a dynamic team across the organisation;
- Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate of $68.14 - $73.73 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances.

The hospital, located in north Brisbane, is an acute facility providing a wide range of health services. The unit's key surgical specialities include Colorectal, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Breast and Endocrine, General Surgery, and Bariatric Surgery.
