An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and passionate Nurse Unit Manager with strong clinical knowledge and competence within an acute surgical setting to lead a dynamic Theatre Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. This is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a senior member of the clinical team, you will review, plan, oversee, and deliver patient care within the unit under the guidance and support of the Senior Clinical Team and the Associate Directors of Clinical Services. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) role requires clinical aptitude, dynamic planning, and supportive leadership to enable the nursing team to provide high-quality service and care to our patients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the perioperative space, being overly familiar with the orthopaedics speciality;
- Previous experience in a surgical or day procedure unit;
- Flexibility to be available weekends, weekdays, and evenings;
- Clinical leadership experience or post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Current clinical experience working in perioperative services.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate of $65.00 - $67.00 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances.
