An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and experienced clinician to join the management team at a private hospital located in an inner-western suburb of Wollongong. It is a full-time permanent position. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be taking on a key leadership role within the Medical and Rehab Ward.
ROLE OVERVIEW
You'll be working closely with the clinical team to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources. This will be with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practices. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you'll mentor and lead a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff. This role is a good fit for someone who helps others succeed.

- Being accountable for the clinical, operational and professional leadership of the unit;
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes;
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating practices, processes and services in line with the Hospital's Health Care standards, legislative requirements and best practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five (5) years' post-graduate nursing experience;
- Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager (highly desirable);
- Flexibility to work within a dynamic team across the organisation;
- Ability to work closely with the executive team and develop growth opportunities for the Hospital;
- Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering, and performance management;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human, and capital resources.

REMUNERATION
A base hourly rate of $70.89 - $76.26 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances.
