An outstanding opportunity awaits a highly motivated and skilled Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator to join the team on a full-time basis at a private hospital in Melbourne.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Theatre Floor Coordinator is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Operating Suite, maintaining a cohesive work and communication network with Perioperative staff and the wider clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Complementing and supporting management within the multidisciplinary department;
- Managing staffing allocations, replacements, and roster preparation;
- Undertaking operational responsibilities while supporting the Theatre Managers;
- Promoting excellence in clinical practice and safe patient care;
- Providing leadership and support to nursing and support services in the Operating Theatres.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Post Graduate Qualification in Perioperative Nursing;
- Recent experience as a Floor Coordinator desirable;
- Sound clinical knowledge, demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills;
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills;
- Knowledge of National Standards and the Accreditation process;
- Knowledge of Acron standards;

The hospital, located in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs, is a fully accredited 186-bed major surgical, acute medical, and emergency facility. With a 12-cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, a 12-bed critical care complex, and a busy Day Procedure Unit, the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
