There is a leadership opportunity for an experienced and motivated Perioperative Services Manager to join an expanding perioperative department. This senior leadership role will see you leading service delivery, driving operational performance, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes at a private hospital in Brisbane. This is a full-time role  (76 hours per fortnight).

ABOUT THE ROLE 
Your responsibilities will include:
  •  Providing clinical and operational leadership across perioperative services;
  • Leading and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary team;
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs);
  • Ensuring compliance with NSQHS, ACORN and relevant legislative standards;
  • Overseeing theatre utilisation, workforce planning and resource management;
  • Driving financial performance and operational efficiency;
  • Leading quality improvement, accreditation and clinical risk initiatives;
  • Supporting education, training and staff development programs;
  • Contributing to strategic planning and service innovation.  

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Postgraduate qualification in nursing;
  • Minimum 5 years' senior perioperative nursing experience;
  • Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • High level of computer literacy;
  • Proven workforce and HR management experience;
  • Leadership or management qualification (or working towards) (desirable);
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Brisbane, is a 70-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
