Registered Nurse – Emergency Department | Newcastle

You will work alongside an enthusiastic team of skilled nurses and emergency-trained doctors to provide exceptional patient care 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the strategic direction of the Hospital.

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Minimum of one (1) year's experience working in an Emergency Department;
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and prioritise care delivery needs of patients;
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required;
• Advanced communication and customer service skills;
• Leadership qualities within the Emergency Department;
• Previous resus and triage experience;
• Postgraduate certificate or similar in critical care (desirable);
• In charge or Team Leader experience (desirable);
• ALS/ PALS certification (desirable).

REMUNERATION

On offer is a base hourly rate of $38.88 - $54.61 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
