Excellent opportunities exist for dedicated Registered Nurses to join the close-knit, friendly, and hardworking Angiography & Cardiac Catheter Lab team full-time at a private hospital in Newcastle.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will provide an opportunity to work with a progressive and dynamic team of Cardiologists, with close collaboration and cross-skilling opportunities with the staff of the CCU.
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
- Collaborating with the CCU team on post-procedural care for patients undergoing coronary angiograms, pacemakers, vascular procedures and more;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in an acute Cath lab setting;
- Working with Children check;
- Bachelor of Nursing;
- A postgraduate certificate in critical care, cardiac nursing or interventional cardiology is highly desirable;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
- Valid Australian work rights.
REMUNERATION
$39.09 - $54.89 per hour.

The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Maternity Unit comprises a Birthing Suite, Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery. The hospital is renowned for cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and oncology, however, it is also a popular destination for mums to be and growing families.
