There are exciting opportunities for motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Registered Nurses to join the close-knit, friendly, and hardworking Coronary Care Unit Team at a private hospital in Newcastle. You can work on a full-time or part-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role provides an opportunity to work with a progressive and dynamic team of Cardiologists, with close collaboration and cross-skilling opportunities with the staff of the Angiography Suite. You would be available to work within a flexible work environment, whilst being committed to providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Registered Nurse - Coronary Care, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
- Collaborating with the Cath Lab team on coronary angiograms, pacemakers, vascular procedures, and more;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 3 years' clinical experience in an acute Coronary Care unit is preferred, although we also welcome junior applicants to apply;
- Valid NSW Working with Children check;
- Bachelor of Nursing (Or equivalent);
- Valid Australian work rights;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.

REMUNERATION
A salary ranging from $39.09 - $54.89 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. A cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite, including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery, is available for families in the Newcastle region. The facility provides specialty care for individuals and their families undergoing cancer treatment and care with an inpatient unit and a day infusion lounge.
