Excellent opportunities exist for dedicated Registered Nurses to join the close-knit, friendly, and hardworking Coronary Care Unit team full-time, at a private hospital in Newcastle.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role provides an opportunity to work with a progressive and dynamic team of Cardiologists, with close collaboration and cross-skilling opportunities with the staff of the Angiography Suite. You will be available to work within a flexible work environment, whilst being committed to providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Registered Nurse - Coronary Care, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Collaborating with the Cath Lab team on coronary angiograms, pacemakers, vascular procedures and more;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an acute Coronary Care Unit;
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check;
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
- Valid Australian work rights.
REMUNERATION
$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Maternity Unit comprises a Birthing Suite, Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery. Birthing Suite has 6 rooms on the ground floor, with Croudace Operating Theatres adjacent. The Maternity Ward encompasses 38 beds combined with antenatal and postnatal rooms.
