An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced clinical leader with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care to step into the role of Theatre Floor Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position at a private hospital in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will provide direct support to the Perioperative Manager and will assist in ensuring the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the department. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating all practices, processes and clinical services of the unit. You will also facilitate the smooth running of the department and operating sessions, coordinating the continuum of care relating directly to surgical/anaesthetic intervention to provide an optimal surgical outcome for patients in the perioperative unit. This role will suit either an experienced perioperative clinical manager or an experienced perioperative nurse looking to progress their career into clinical leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- 5 years minimum relevant experience as an RN in the perioperative environment;
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Excellent people skills, the ability to manage change, and the complexities of the perioperative environment;
- Clinical leadership or management experience will be highly regarded;
- Ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a continuous improvement program;
- Excellent time management skills.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate of $68.49 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is located in Sydney's South and is an advanced surgical and acute medical facility. The hospital offers the latest 3D-spinal imaging, multi-disciplinary medical and nursing care, an ICU, and "one-on-one" physiotherapy and performs over 3000 orthopaedic procedures yearly. The Endoscopy unit is situated within The Day Surgery Unit. It consists of 3 procedure rooms and provides a range of procedures, such as diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy, ERCPs and Dental.
