Exciting opportunities exist for motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join the Theatres Department at a private hospital in Sydney. There are permanent part-time roles available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide care to the patients across the full scope of the unit's services and work with the professional team to deliver a high standard of care. Your responsibilities will include delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care, supporting patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs, and acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum two (2) years Scrub Scout experience;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a supportive service;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong customer service focus;
- Demonstrated the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients;
- Exceptional customer service and time management abilities;
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others;
- Ability to work a rotating roster.
REMUNERATION
$36.65 - $51.47 per hour + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern facility with 12 Operating Theatres and two Cardiac Cath labs. The hospital performs a full range of elective surgeries, including cardiac, neurosurgery, urology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, colorectal, general, plastics, obstetrics, Paediatric, ENT, and Spinal Surgery. The 16-bed ICU provides specialised care for patients who require constant monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac and renal support therapies.
