Frequently Asked Questions

How much is this going to cost us?

We undertake all the tasks associated with recruitment free of charge. There are no costs for you until we’ve matched you with a talent you’re keen to employ. We will then draw up a contract on which our fees are clearly laid out. There will be no hidden or additional costs and our rates are very competitive.

What will happen if the talent you place with us doesn’t work out?

IHR Group boasts a 99% placement success rate and over 10 years of experience in healthcare recruitment in Ireland, the UK and worldwide. We can confidently say that we will almost certainly find you exactly the right talent to fill your vacancy. If, however, you feel that someone we have placed with you is not right for the job, please let us know during the early months of the contract. We will then give you a refund or – if you prefer – quickly find you another candidate to fill the position without charge.

We have our own HR department so why do we need your help?

Though you may have a superb human resources team, there are still areas in which we can help you. We would be able to assist if your staff are inundated by applications, under time pressure or struggling to find the right candidate to fill a particular vacancy. Maybe your organisation is going through a rapid expansion process and your HR professionals need a little extra support to make sure each vacancy is filled effectively. IHR Group has ample experience of working alongside in-house HR departments.

How do you choose the right candidates?

We scrutinise the candidate’s CV to make sure they possess the skills, experience, knowledge, work ethic and personal attributes necessary for the vacant position. We then arrange a telephone interview between the candidate and one of our consultants. In this rigorous interview, which is usually an hour long, the consultant uses their extensive knowledge of the British and Irish medical sectors to evaluate the talent. The consultant will also ensure the candidate closely matches your specific requirements before you spend your time speaking to them.

What happens after you’ve decided a candidate might be suitable?

After we’ve interviewed the candidate ourselves (please see above) and decided they’d be a good match for the vacancy, we will organise a short interview between your organisation and the talent. In this way, you can be sure that you’re 100% satisfied with the candidate we’ve put forward. In certain cases, you may wish to make a choice from a shortlist of talents we’ve suggested. We can then arrange further rounds of interviews if you should so wish.

What information should we give you to help you pick the right candidate?

Our highly experienced and deeply knowledgeable consultants will have a very good idea of what type of talent is suitable for what vacancy. We will, nevertheless, have a quick telephone chat with your organisation so we can form a detailed picture of the role on offer. This means we can make sure that the candidates are clear about the responsibilities and demands of the position. It also means we will know the ‘selling points’ we can use to make the post attractive to the best quality candidates.

How can I get the most out of my recruitment consultant?

Our expert consultants are always available to answer your questions and give you advice about any aspects of the healthcare recruitment process. Don’t hesitate to tell us if anything seems less than clear or if you have any doubts or concerns. We will be more than happy to give you advice on suitable salary levels or on trends in the healthcare recruitment marketplace. If your needs should change, please let us know as soon as you can. Communication that is frequent, honest and open is likely to have the best outcomes for all concerned.
