An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery unit in a private hospital in Brisbane. There are both full-time and part-time openings available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Registered Nurse, your duties will consist of:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Admitting patients;
- Complying with relevant legislation and regulations;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their surgery and health recovery;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members, graduates and students.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Recent clinical experience (at least 2 years);
- The ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a dynamic health care team;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Commitment to ongoing professional education;
- The ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, is an acute facility that provides acute Medical, Day Oncology, Surgical, Maternity, Rehabilitation and Critical Care services. The Day Surgery Unit functions as both a Same-Day Admission Center and a Day Surgery/Endoscopy facility. It features 111 inpatient Surgical, ICU, Medical and Rehabilitation beds, a Day rehabilitation program, a gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms and a day oncology unit.
