An opportunity has arisen for a passionate Registered Nurse to join 45 45-bed General Surgical Ward accommodating a variety of specialities from Bariatric, Urology, ENT, Gynaecology, Orthopaedic, and paediatric patients at a private hospital in Brisbane. This is a permanent, part-time position working across a 7-day roster. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Registered Nurse - Surgical, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Authority to Work in Australia;
  • Working with Children check (if relevant);
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Works well independently or within a team;
  • Basic computer skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, is an 120-bed acute facility that provides acute Medical, Day Oncology, Surgical, Maternity, Rehabilitation and Critical Care services. The Day Surgery Unit functions as both a Same-Day Admission Center and a Day Surgery/Endoscopy facility. It features two procedure rooms used primarily for endoscopy procedures, along with minor plastic and urological surgeries.
