An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Oncology Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join a nursing team at a private hospital in Sydney. 

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Minimum 2 years recent Oncology Nursing Experience;
  • Competent in Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy Administration;
  • Competent in IV Cannulation & Accessing of CVAD/ Ports;
  • ADAC trained and certified;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Works well independently and within a team;
  • Basic computer skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Sydney, is a  98 patient-beds facility and provides a large range of medical and acute services, including seven operating theatres, an Angiography suite, 10-bed Intensive Care Unit, a Maternity Unit, a Level Two, six patient-bed Special Care Nursery as well as a Day Surgery Unit, Mental Health Unit, Oncology Department as well as pharmacy and radiology services.
