A new opportunity is available for an experienced and suitably qualified Registered Nurse - High Dependency Unit (HDU) to join a surgical services team on a full-time, permanent basis at a private hospital in Melbourne.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position involves the coordination and delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients within the 29-bed surgical ward and 3-bed HDU, with capacity for additional telemetry monitoring. Key specialties on the ward include Orthopaedics and Urology.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, compassionate and effective care to patients with higher acuity needs;
- Providing clinical leadership and support within the HDU;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes;
- Supporting education, mentoring and clinical supervision for junior staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care or High Dependency Nursing (or working toward completion);
- Proven clinical experience in a high-acuity or HDU/ICU setting-at least 2 years;
- Strong communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;

RENUMERATION
$76,515 - $100,000 - per annum commensurate with experience
