Registered Nurse – HDU | Melbourne

This position involves the coordination and delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients within the 29-bed surgical ward and 3-bed HDU, with capacity for additional telemetry monitoring. Key specialties on the ward include Orthopaedics and Urology.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, compassionate and effective care to patients with higher acuity needs;
• Providing clinical leadership and support within the HDU;
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes;
• Supporting education, mentoring and clinical supervision for junior staff.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care or High Dependency Nursing (or working toward completion);
• Proven clinical experience in a high-acuity or HDU/ICU setting-at least 2 years;
• Strong communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;

RENUMERATION

$76,515 - $100,000 - per annum commensurate with experience
