An excellent opportunity awaits a Clinical Nurse Specialist with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join the Scrub/Scout Unit at a private day surgery on the Gold Coast.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Delivering excellent patient care;
- Working closely with visiting medical officers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Children Check;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- The ability to work well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills;
- Minimum 1yr scrub/scout experience;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in New South Wales, next to the border with Queensland, offers a range of services, including gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and urology. The surgery incorporates three theatres with two procedure rooms, a 17-bay recovery area, and a 23-chair discharge lounge. Experienced staff provide exceptional care with efficient admissions, calm anaesthetic induction, and friendly maintenance upon waking from surgery.
