An exciting opportunity exists for skilled Registered Nurses to join a dedicated Surgical Team at a private hospital in Melbourne. There is an availability of permanent part-time night shift roles that require a passion for high-quality care and exceptional interpersonal skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering safe, evidence-based standards of nursing care;
  • Providing complex and multi-disciplinary care;
  • Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a surgical ward;
  • Orthopaedic and neurosurgical nursing is highly regarded;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Works independently and within a team;
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Exceptional computer skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs, is a fully accredited 186-bed major surgical, acute medical, and emergency facility. With a 12-cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, a 12-bed critical care complex, and a busy Day Procedure Unit, the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
