Registered Midwife | Gold Coast

There is a new opening for an experienced and motivated Registered Midwife to support the Obstetrics Ward and Special Care Nursery at a private hospital on the Gold Coast. 

In this role, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care to mothers and families across all areas of midwifery, in line with the core values and strategic direction. Acting in a professional manner when dealing with the health care team, patients, their families, and the wider community, you will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality care. 

• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife;
• Recent experience working in birthsuite, special care nursery and postnatal care;
• Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace;
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written);
• A keen interest in postnatal education.

REMUNERATION

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The facility is a 354-bed hospital providing a wide range of health care services with a 24-hour Emergency Department, Comprehensive Cardiac Services and Orthopaedic Surgery, Oncology, Medical Services, Maternity and Paediatrics, Renal Dialysis, Day Surgery, and Rehabilitation Services.
