An outstanding opportunity exists for a senior clinician to step into the leadership role of Perioperative Services Manager at a private hospital in Darwin. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of perioperative professionals and drive excellence in patient care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be a senior clinician who can demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills within perioperative services and has a proven ability to achieve the best outcome for patients and confidently make business decisions that align with private health care funding arrangements. Working autonomously, the successful candidate must be able to present confidently and competently when liaising with various stakeholders across the hospital.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and allocating staff;
- Understanding legislative requirements, ACORN, and Sterilisation standards;
- Maintaining knowledge of accreditation processes and quality/risk management;
- Ensuring workplace health and safety guidelines and policies are met;
- Managing budgets and attaining budgetary targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- High-level clinical skills in the perioperative setting;
- Proven clinical leadership and management within the Peri-Operative service;
- A commitment to quality and clinical improvement;
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience;
- Postgraduate qualification in Peri-Operative Nursing or working towards is desirable (not mandatory).
REMUNERATION
$137,000 per annum + superannuation.

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
