A new possibility awaits a Clinical Nurse Specialist with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join an established nursing team in the Emergency Department. It is a permanent full-time position at a private hospital in Sydney.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and mentoring the nursing team in planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating an excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred care;
- Demonstrating professional practice by adhering to AHPRA standards, codes of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, and organisational policies and processes;
- Fostering a positive learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team's professional development;
- Maintaining professional learning and continuous professional development;
- Providing supervision and teaching to peers, Enrolled Nurses, graduates, and students;
- Actively contributing to inter-disciplinary team processes and practices as a valued member;
- Participating in departmental and hospital quality improvements and projects;
- Collaborating with external partners to ensure a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum;
- Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners using a customer service mindset.
- Demonstrating a professional manner when working in complex situations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in ED with strong clinical experience and knowledge in resuscitation, triage and team leader roles;
- Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing or working towards;
- Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards;
- The ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
- A high level of written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.
REMUNERATION
$51.81 - $57.48 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney's North West, is a 277-bed high acuity facility. The Orthopaedic ward is a new 55-bed ward delivering exceptional care under a multi-disciplinary team. Patients are admitted for elective or emergency orthopaedic procedures. A friendly and supportive medical and allied health team works alongside the nursing staff to provide and promote specialised and dedicated care to the patients.
