Exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Registered Midwife to join the team running Monday to Friday Antenatal Day Assessment Clinic (9am-5pm)  at a private hospital in Sydney. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to both Birth Suite Managers, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital. There will also be opportunities to further your learning if you wish to orient yourself in the Birth Suite in future. You will be required to attend Ranzcog FSEP CTG assessment day to further your knowledge. 

You'll be providing care for antenatal women requiring:
  • IV hydration;
  • Blood pressure monitoring;
  • CTG assessments;
  • Anti-D administration;
  • Early labour assessments;
  • Induction of labour.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience caring for antenatal women;
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence in managing day assessment needs;
  • Must be competent in CTG assessments;
  • A team player with a kind and professional approach;
  • Birth unit experience would be valuable, but not necessary.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern facility with 12 Operating Theatres and two Cardiac Cath labs. The hospital performs a full range of elective surgeries, including cardiac, neurosurgery, urology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, colorectal, general, plastics, obstetrics, Paediatric, ENT, and Spinal Surgery. The 16-bed ICU provides specialised care for patients who require constant monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac and renal support therapies.
