An excellent opportunity exists for Registered Nurses with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, and a clinical background in orthopaedics to join the Scrub/Scout Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne.  There are both permanent full-time and part-time positions available.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members, Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
  • Working with Children check (if relevant);
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team.

ABOUT THE FACILITY  

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 14-bed ICU, a 17-bed CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a newly expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
