There are exciting openings for Scrub Scout Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join the Perioperative department at a private hospital in Hobart. Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the Surgical Team to set up the theatre, position patients for surgery, set up and maintain the sterile field;
  • Advocating for patients during surgery, whilst coordinating the documentation process;
  • Providing evidence-based care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing and supporting your team members to deliver family-centred care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their care.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Specialised Scrub Scout experience is highly favourable;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Proven and sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Proficient computer skills.

REMUNERATION

$36.88 - $49.37 per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery, and select surgery for paediatrics. The Maternity suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model, fitted with state-of-the-art technology, including K2 fetal monitoring systems, and provide various resources used during childbirth.
