Registered Nurses – Surgical | Port Macquarie

Outstanding prospects are available for an enthusiastic and proactive Registered Nurses to become part of the Surgical Ward on a full-time basis at a private hospital in Port Macquarie.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be providing inpatient care for a diverse range of orthopaedic, general, urology and gynaecology surgical patients, delivering patient-focused, high-quality postoperative care. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital.

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• Minimum two (2) years in a postgraduate experience;
• Previous experience working across a surgical ward;
• Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of patients;
• Exhibits exceptional customer service and time management abilities;
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others;
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required;
• Ability to work a flexible rotating roster.

The hospital, located in Port Macquarie, is a 72-bed acute Medical/Surgical and Rehab facility with 6 Renal Chairs and a Day Surgery complex. Comprehensive Medical/Surgical services are offered with 24-hour Medical Officer Support, including Orthopaedics, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Bariatric and Vascular, Plastic & Ophthalmology.
