An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to assume a key leadership role. This position requires a candidate with previous management experience to join the team as a Hospital Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis for the night shift at a private hospital in Melbourne.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Hospital Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the delivery of safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
  • Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of all wards and departments;
  • Assisting with the coordination of staffing requirements and resources;
  • Managing patient flow while coordinating and planning operational processes;
  • Coordinating patient admissions and providing discharge planning support;
  • Supporting the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and National Safety Standards, maintaining the safety of all staff, patients, and visitors.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 5 years working as a Registered Nurse;
  • Ability to manage competing demands and coordinate resources appropriately;
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow;
  • Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff;
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members.
