An outstanding senior leadership opportunity awaits a motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager seeking a challenging and rewarding surgical leadership role. This full-time, permanent position involves overseeing the Rapid Access Hub as a key part of the Theatre/Perioperative Team at a private hospital in Melbourne.
ROLE DETAILS
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient care or patients. The ANUM will support and assist the Nurse Unit Manager in achieving specific Key Performance Indicators as developed for the Unit, as well as provide mentoring and leadership to the Nursing Team.
Your duties will involve:
- Acting as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care;
- Supervising, directing and supporting nursing staff in clinical practice;
- Taking on a floor coordination role when required;
- In liaison with the Nurse Unit Manager and relevant health professionals, assisting in achieving agreed activity targets.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Current AHPRA Registration;
- Comprehensive clinical experience in anaesthetics / PACU;
- Previous management/ANUM experience;
- Experience in the leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team;
- Experience in budget planning, preparation and management;
- Post Graduate Qualifications or near completion of postgraduate qualifications in perioperative nursing;
- Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain.

REMUNERATION
$106,834.00 - $110,432.10 per annum pro rata.
