A unique opportunity awaits a motivated Senior Nurse Leader to step into a strategic role of a Nurse Unit Manager and lead, support and empower the 22-bed Coronary Care Unit at a private hospital in Perth. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources within the department. This role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting and supporting patient safety, promoting positive patient experience and developing strong partnerships with our Visiting Medical Officers;
- Facilitating and promoting the continuous development of clinical expertise and a culture that reflects the Hospital's Values in your nursing team;
- Effectively managing teams / human resources, budgets and Key Performance Indicators;
- Developing clinical care improvement and innovation practices, whilst providing the leadership required to successfully deliver care for the complex clinical case load of this department.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience working in an acute setting, including coronary care and/or cardiology;
- Demonstrated experience in effectively fulfilling leadership roles as well as leading and managing successful teams;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources;
- Effective change management skills and experience;
- Effective computer/digital skills;
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications (highly regarded);
- Holding or working towards a tertiary management qualification (highly regarded).

The hospital, with a total of 722 beds and bays, is the major hospital for Perth's northern corridor that provides a range of medical and surgical services, maternity services, neonatal and paediatric services, aged care, and rehabilitation. The hospital has an Emergency Department, After Hours GP Clinic, and on-site MRI. Specialties include Medical Specialties, which include General Medicine, Respiratory, Gerontology, Cardiac Services, and Stroke Services Unit. Surgical Specialities include but are not limited to General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular, ENT, Paediatrics, and Gynaecology.
