A unique opportunity is available for an energetic and customer service-focused Nurse Unit Manager with experience in Orthopaedics and Paediatrics to provide clinical leadership at a private hospital in Melbourne.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to complement the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients. You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Children check;
- Previous experience at ANUM or NUM level, or equivalent;
- Compliance with ACSQHC National standards;
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role;
- Computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases;
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills;
- A sound knowledge base in labour management;
- Demonstrated HR management experience.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 14-bed ICU, a 17-bed CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a newly expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
