An excellent opportunity exists to step into a leadership role as a Nurse Unit Manager in a busy Emergency Department on a full-time basis at a private hospital in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Emergency Department Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will have strong leadership capabilities to manage a dedicated team, and a commitment to providing excellent patient-centred care and service to optimise outcomes and maximise experience.
Recent experience in managing an Emergency Department is preferable, and you will be part of a supportive and progressive management team within the hospital.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- A minimum of 5 years' clinical care experience in a relevant speciality;
- Demonstrated commitment and provision of exceptional service;
- Proven ability to lead a team, providing teaching, coaching and mentoring;
- Professional self-awareness and reflective practice;
- Ability to engage, motivate and collaboratively influence others of all disciplines to achieve required outcomes;
- Demonstrated professional/positive approach;
- Postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management / or a relevant clinical speciality (desirable);
- Experience in managing a department (including acting or deputising into the Manager role (desirable);
- Experience in the private healthcare sector.
