An excellent opportunity exists for a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse with experience seeking a rewarding career to join the clinical team at a private day surgery on the Gold Coast. The workweek is strictly Monday to Friday, with no weekend or shift work required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care;
- Providing a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment;
- Developing and utilizing strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication;
- Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding the provision of care, promoting beneficial relationships;
- Being a leader and educator to staff and students.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of nursing experience;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care;
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development;
- Ophthalmology experience is highly desirable.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in New South Wales, next to the border with Queensland, offers a range of services, including gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and urology. The surgery incorporates three theatres with two procedure rooms, a 17-bay recovery area, and a 23-chair discharge lounge. Experienced staff provides exceptional care with efficient admissions, calm anaesthetic induction, and friendly maintenance upon waking from surgery.
