ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
- Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Working with Children check;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards a relevant specialty (desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute 122-bed facility providing a range of medical and surgical services. The hospital offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to excellence in customer care. Highly skilled neurosurgeons and spine surgeons use the latest technology to manage a range of conditions affecting the nervous system. They may use a robot for suitable spinal fusion patients. This robot is designed to provide greater accuracy compared to conventional spine surgery.
The world-class surgeons perform a range of procedures: Acoustic neuromas and pituitary tumours, awake craniotomy, brain surgery and endoscopic brain surgery, brain and skull-based tumours, cerebrovascular disorders, interventional neuroradiology, peripheral nerve surgery, and trigeminal neuralgia.
