ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
  • Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
  • Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current AHPRA registration;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • Post Graduate Certificate or working towards a relevant specialty (desirable);
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.

Situated in Melbourne, this acute 122-bed hospital delivers a comprehensive array of medical and surgical services. Known for its commitment to excellence in customer care, the hospital fosters a supportive and welcoming staff environment. Within its Neurology Ward, specialists focus on diagnosing and treating a spectrum of conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.

Services encompass neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), and motor neuron disease, alongside brain or spinal injuries, infections like meningitis or brain abscesses, headaches, migraines, seizures, epilepsy, aneurysms, peripheral neurological conditions including nerve conduction studies, epilepsy, EEG studies, movement disorders, and functional neurological disorders.
