Exciting opportunities exist for enthusiastic and highly skilled Registered Nurses with previous nursing experience to join a Neuroscience ward at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time and part-time roles are available.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
  • Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Authority to Work in Australia;
  • Working with Children, check;
  • At least 2 years of experience in speciality;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute 122-bed facility providing a range of medical and surgical services. The hospital offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to excellence in customer care. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, a six-bed neurosurgery intensive nursing unit, four operating theatres, two angiography suites, an endoscopy suite, a coronary care unit, and a day chemotherapy unit.
