Fantastic opportunities are available for highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join the dynamic team within the Oncology at a private hospital located in Wollongong. Permanent Part-Time opportunities are available.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
  • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current registration with the AHPRA;
  • At least 2 years of experience in Oncology;
  • Competency in chemotherapy administration;
  • Completion of an Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course would be advantageous, but not essential;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Demonstrated understanding of current relevant guidelines, regulations and standards;
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Wollongong, is a 171-bed private acute facility that provides all primary services, including an intensive care unit, ten operating theatres, cardiac, and vascular Labs and an Endoscopy suite. Surgical specialties include Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, Head and Neck, Gynaecological, Urology, Colorectal, upper GI, General, Vascular, and Plastics.
