Excellent opportunities exist for experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to join the Perioperative Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time positions are available. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children check;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Minimum of 2 years of Perioperative Nursing experience;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards Perioperative Nursing (desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
REMUNERATION
$35.33 per hour - $47.25 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute 122-bed facility providing a range of medical and surgical services. The hospital offers highly specialised services, including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. A 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit, and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit support these services.
