An excellent career opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Mental Health Unit which specialises in General Psychiatry and Addictions at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. This brand-new unit is beautifully appointed with state-of-the-art facilities This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will coordinate the clinical operations of the unit, including managing a vibrant team of nursing and allied health professionals and facilitating safe and therapeutic admissions for the patients. This is a comprehensive management role that will include being an active contributor to the Quality and Risk, Patient Safety, and other Clinical committees.
REQUIREMENTS
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
- Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager;
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering, and performance management;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human, and capital resources;
- A strong clinical skillset, with recent management experience in inpatient psychiatry;
- You will have exceptional communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

REMUNERATION
On offer is a base hourly rate of $64.48 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a 205-bed facility equipped with 4 operating theatres, a high-dependency, and a short-stay unit. The 48-bed Mental Health Ward coordinates adult inpatient and day programs for people suffering from various mental health concerns.
