A fantastic opportunity awaits a Theatre Floor Manager to join the Operating Theatre Leadership team in a permanent full-time role at a private hospital in regional NSW. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will be direct support to the Nurse Unit Manager of the Operating Suite and will assist in ensuring the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the department. The role encompasses planning, implementing, and evaluating all practices, processes, and clinical services of the unit.

You will also facilitate the smooth running of the department and operating sessions, coordinating the continuum of care relating directly to surgical/anaesthetic intervention to provide an optimal surgical outcome for patients in the perioperative unit.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as an RN in the perioperative environment;
  • Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications will be highly regarded;
  • Excellent people skills, the ability to manage change, and the complexities of the perioperative environment;
  • Clinical leadership or management experience will be highly regarded;
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a continuous improvement program;
  • Excellent time management skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Hospital, located in Bowral, is an acute medical/surgical facility providing an extensive range of onsite medical, surgical, rehabilitation, oncology and palliative care services for the community of the Southern Highlands and beyond to the regional and rural areas. It has 4 Operating Theatres, a Procedure Room, a Day Surgery Unit, a High Dependency Unit and a Day Oncology Unit.
